Test Pack of 100 Consecutive Notes Experimental German Printing
Grade: UNC
Previously from a Heritage Auction, Lot 16611, Sept. 2011 this lot was described as follows: 'A consecutively numbered pack of 100 notes, each printed on plain white bond paper and banded with a BEP $100 'ones' band, and each numbered with what certainly appears to be a normal US currency font serial number. These notes were obtained in Europe, and were allegedly printed as a test using one of the German designed presses which the BEP was evaluating for purchase some years ago. We have seen no other such items for sale and have no earthly idea of value here, but we would be quite surprised if $50 or more per note was not a base per piece price for this unusual and fascinating item'. Indeed a fascinating currency lot and one of only two packs known.
Current Bid: $ 6,000.00

Estimate: ($ 3,000.00 - $ 6,000.00)
