The Southern California Bank of Los Angeles was chartered on July 22, 1886 and was liquidated on December 31, 1928. This title issued only Brown Backs, and none are known. On July 22, 1895 the bank title was changed to Merchants National Bank and on October 8, 1926 it changed to Merchants National Trust & Savings Bank.
