March 25, 1862. The second permanent settlement in Louisiana, it was founded by Germans in 1720. Ceres seen at center and General P.G.T. Beauregard at left. The notes with green protector are a bit scarcer than the ones with red protector. Anything from this parish above the Very Fine grade level is to be cherished.
