Brooklyn City Bank of Brooklyn $20 Proof
Grade: PMG UNC 62

Haxby NY-320 G12. India paper proof mounted on card stock. Small tear. Note unaffected by issues on card stock (there is an impression of a Canal Bank note on the back card stock). A rare Brooklyn bank with few proofs known. In 1865 it became the National City Bank of Brooklyn, charter #1543. The only couple other examples we have seen were $1 and $2 proofs. The Newman $2 proof graded PCGS Choice New 63 and easily sailed past the $2,000 figure. This $20 is simply rare and really very desirable.
