A very challenging 1770s Rhode Island issue from which to locate quality notes. This example should fit the bill for even the fussiest of collectors. PCGS notes a few problems on the back of the holder. They have graded three examples of this 4 shilling denomination and they are all Apparent graded. We know of the others so we can say confidently that this is Top Pop. The note that grades Apparent VF 20 sold for $881 in a 2014 sale.
