A miracle of survival is this astounding 1780 Virginia colonial. These notes were printed on rice paper and almost all of them had tears, cracks, holes, ink erosion, etc. due to the nature of the thin and brittle paper. For any note to grade XF and be awarded the PPQ designation is a statistical outlier. Do not be surprised when our estimate looks foolishly conservative.
