This area of Queens was farmland until 1882 when it was developed and eventually flourished with the railroad and Fulton Street El coming to town. This was the second National Bank to open in Ozone Park, a mere three months after the First National Bank closed its doors. The bank served the local community for roughly a dozen years until the receiver paid a visit in 1934. A bright, deeply embossed and superbly signed example that is as pretty as they come.
