First Charters only for this scarcer New York City bank that was paid a rather unkind visit by the receiver in 1884. PMG notes a tape repair and some staining but it is primarily confined to the back and has little effect on the visual impact of this note. Auction appearances are sparse and this happens to be the only Original Series $5 note listed. That should make for some interesting bidding activity before the hammer falls.
