A bank that originally was chartered in Blackstone but which moved to Franklin in 1871. It issued notes continuously from 1865 to 1935 with First Charter notes being quite scarce. This is the highest denomination known with the only other $5 piece a serial #1 note. PMG notes minor repairs but they are barely visible repairs of a couple of edge nicks. The first time this note sold many years ago it realized $1,150.
