Problem Free T-12 Manouvrier Note
Confederate Notes
T-12 $5 July 23, 1861
Grade:
PCGS VF 20
PF-1. Cr. 48. Somewhat better I plate. A scarce Manouvrier note that is infrequently seen in VF grade and in a comment-free holder. Most known notes are lower grade and have significant problems, with even many VF examples having seen some degree of restoration. This is the only 1861 type that displayed a printed back, and in this instance it is a far healthier shade of blue than what is typically seen. In our March PCDA sale, we sold a PMG VF 30 (with an uneven left border and some edge tone) for over $5500. The present offering is every bit as pleasing to the senses and should likely realize a similar price. A great note in a solid, problem-free grade.
