A pretty and nice Blue Seal with excellent pen signatures of W.F. Keiney, President and J.R. Calger, Cashier. The note is one of only four large notes recorded. Purchased in an October 1996 auction, Lot 610, at $495. Catlin was organized in 1858 after the Wabash Railroad had helped develop a small village near their depot. Its first coal mine was opened in 1863.
