A gorgeous $20 Brown Back from Kansas, part of a type set that was being assembled, and there can't be more beautiful, fresh and original examples out there. The centering is as we dream of but have known better than to expect on National Bank Notes. Bold margins like it was cut by a caring representative of this financial institution and then painstakingly pen signed by H.T. Estabrook (not a listed officer), President and a stamped signature of Horace Smith as Cashier. No doubt this note remained carefully protected for nearly 100 years before finding its way to the marketplace. Completely fresh and original. As I see no reason not to call it a Ch. UNC, as I did in 2000, I will allow for others saying Ch. AU.
