A great Tennessee rarity from a one bank town with only one other note reported from the 5,111 sheets printed nearly a century ago. This Lewis County rarity was unreported when the Sixth Edition of Kelly was printed. In 2009 a lower grade Fine was discovered and sold at $14,375. This is a much better note with a stamped signature for the president and penned of W.P. Bryant, Cashier. It surfaced the following year and sold at $9,200. Rarities like this are hard to evaluate but a bid in the estimate range make sense and the opening bid seems like a bargain. I spotted, after serious examination, a tiny internal split, about 1/4", that is not worth mentioning but I have. A joyous opportunity for a worthy collection.
