MA-921 G8. December 1, 1840. A short-lived bank that was in existence from 1836-1841. A central vignette of the charming town of Newburyport, flanked by a tall ship at left. PMG notes some minor ink burn. The Newman $3 note was quite unappealing and still sold for over $200.
