Oakes 55-3. September 1, 1857. PCGS notes splits, tears, ink stain. Bold red "THREE" protector below a shipping scene. E.L. Fuller was an unregulated private banker who operated in three states: Illinois, Iowa and Michigan. The Newman $3 note graded PCGS VF 20 and sold for over $1000.
