This bank was chartered on Christmas Eve in 1920. The note has excellent stamped signatures of J.F. Mackey, President and D. Shittenberg, Cashier. Founded in 1853 and incorporated in 1859, Centralia was named for its location at the convergence of the two original sections of the Illinois Central Railroad.
