Any multiple of this better 50¢ fractional variety are rare, with this being the only example we have seen. There are a couple of edge tears at right that go between the notes. Well margined and with good color remaining. This first sold for over $300 back at the May 2005 Central States sale but it does not appear to have been part of O'Mara's collection from that sale. It will likely be many years before another multiple surfaces.
