This striking note from Vilas County is one of only two large size examples to surface on Eagle River. Vilas County was the third least populated county in the state when this note was circulating, just behind Florence County, which didn't have enough people to support a national bank. Free of blemishes and well centered. Stamped signatures of E.W. Ellis, President and M.J. Pipress, Cashier are well executed. Large outstanding in 1935 was $720.
