Creighton, First NB, 4242
Fr. 471 $5 1882BB
Grade: Fine
A miracle of survival is the only way to describe this evenly circulated $5 Brownback from the First National Bank of Creighton. This bank was the first of two from this northeast Nebraska community near the South Dakota border. The bank was chartered in 1890 and closed in 1895, barely five years later. It was more than a decade before another National Bank opened in 1907. The bank's entire printing was 1,381 sheets of $5 Brownbacks and by 1910 the outstanding was only $195. Clearly signed by George E. Cheney, President and F.E. White, Cashier.
Current Bid: $ 21,000.00

Estimate: ($ 35,000.00 - $ 60,000.00)
