Grade: PCGS Gem New 66 PPQ
Nearly two decades ago, a small run of eighteen of these beautiful Boston Red Seals were discovered, and collectors have been fighting over them ever since. We are fortunate to have three premium examples in this sale. This first note is one of the nicest pieces from the run. It is well centered on both sides, and the visual impact could not be more striking. The most recent sale of a Fr. 1072a was at this year's Central States sale, where the serial number A10610A in PMG Gem CU 65 brought $69,000. What this finer example will bring is anyone's guess. Graded Gem New 66 PPQ by PCGS.
