Fr. 1080b $100 1914RS Minneapolis
Grade: PMG VF 30     PMG
Here is a gorgeous Red Seal, just the way collectors like them. The note has exceptional color and centering. The few folds are unobtrusive and I can see no problems, nor does PMG mention any. On top of that, Minneapolis is a rare enough district to bring this note the attention it deserves. Only 10 pieces are known and this is the second finest. Collectors needing a Minneapolis note are pretty much limited to the 'b' type. The 'a' type has just three notes known with only one public sale recorded. That was the Flynn example, a PMG 10 that brought $97,750! Before that, one must go back to 2003 to find any record of a note from this district being offered publicly. Even then, an XF 40 brought $17,250. What this note will bring is hard to say, but if rarity and grade have anything to do with it, I'd say it would bring plenty. A note worthy of the finest collection.
