A rare type for this Berks County bank and unique as such, while there are 65 other notes known of other types. There were 600 sheets issued and this note is #517. If you don't look close one might expect this note to be a Fine by appearance, but it's extremely brittle and cannot be improved, in my restorer's opinion. It looks stable when viewing but if handled may break apart. Great as a representative for the bank. The red 'Series of 1875' has faded.
