I have quite unintentionally saved the best for last. When I sent a picture to a friend who had been helping me a lot with Memphis this year I said, "What a way to end the auction". Of course, there are some great Wyoming notes to follow but this rarity transcends the state. There is no doubt this bank and its title make it one of the most desirable in America. Records indicate that this bank was chartered in August of 1901 and stayed in business until August 15, 1910. During that time they issued 1,200 sheets of $10-10-10-20 Brown Backs and 64 sheets of 1882 Date Backs of the same denominations. Sheboygan Falls is a city in Sheboygan County and it's included in the statistical area of the city of Sheboygan. The town lies on the picturesque falls of the Sheboygan River and at the confluence of the Mullet and Onion Rivers. This note has pen signatures of James E. Thomas, President and Stedman Thomas, Cashier and is serial #186. They just don't get better or rarer than this. An ultimate tradesmen's title for Wisconsin for sure. Deb says we should milk this one for all it's worth and we are hoping no one is lactose intolerant! When I saw this note for the first time I realized that John Hickman must have spent a long time trying to find this for Monte Sherwin, and later Chet Krause. I'm proud we can offer it to the new owner.
