Fr. 537 $5 1882DB Uncut Sheet
Grade:
PMG Abt. UNC 55 EPQ
Lot size:
-
I believe this uncut sheet of $5 1882 Datebacks is only the fifth ever to be reported. Three are from Jackson, Tennessee, and the other, more used one is from West Plains, Missouri. This uncut sheet of $5 Fr. 537 1882 Datebacks is totally new to the census from a family bank that only had a couple of notes known. This sheet came with the $10-$10-$10-$20 that follows. The sheet has the same signatures as the other, John W. Brooks and the cashier, and both sheets are complete with top and bottom selvedge. Uncut sheets of this variety are absolutely as rare as any US currency and only a person that is aware of the rarity and limited availability will likely have the presence of mind to acquire them. They are a must for a sheet collector. These have had a fold or two, but the quality is amazing.
