This was a great surprise to find at our doorstep to sell this in Memphis. It's one of five $100 Brown Backs known from this great state and it's been in a private collection for decades. A pleasing VF with even color and very nice pen signatures of B. B. Barnes, president, and E. C. Meredith, Jr., cashier. It's been nearly a decade since any $100 Brown Back from Alabama has been available and there should be plenty of excitement to surround this note. Only 15 large notes are known but no other early types, all others are Blue Seals.
