Current records indicate there are only nine $100 1882 Date Backs known from the entire state of California, and only three of those are from Los Angeles, all from this bank. This note is probably the middle to upper range of the three. Quality is a wonderful word to describe this evenly-circulated note that is very bright and has what most would call vanity signatures as well. This has to be one of the best from the entire state, actually. In 2007, a VF from Oakland realized $13,225. This should see significant interest.
