CC-102 $120 Fourth Bill of Exchange September 10, 1779
Grade:
Extremely Fine
A stunning Continental Loan Office Fourth Bill of Exchange on the colony of Pennsylvania. This example, as were most, was signed by Francis Hopkinson, Treasurer of Loans and well known as a signer of the Declaration of Independence. While Fourth Bills are fairly common the $120 denomination is far scarcer and more desirable than most of the lower denominations. A very high grade example that has great color and eye appeal with a couple of tears and some ink erosion confined to the top part of the note.
