"American Fortitude Displayed" is the motto seen on this scarce note. This crisp, bright and well margined piece has superb eye appeal for the grade as well as some handling at center and a couple of petty repaired edge splits. There were only 6,000 printed and this must be one of the nicest to survive. We just saw a PCGS Apparent AU 53 sell for about $750 and there is no reason that this note, which lists at $1,000 in Newman in XF, should not bring the same or more.
