SC-157 $80 February 8, 1779
Grade:
PMG Choice EF 45 EPQ
This lovely note was printed by Thomas Coram of Charleston, SC and this denomination was part of the original issue. Very well signed with a couple of light folds it has tremendous eye appeal for the grade. The vignette of a Man with Sword bears the motto CONSTANTIA DURISSIMA VINCIT which is translated "The firmest constancy will conquer." Newman prices this at $2,500 in Extremely Fine and $5,000 in Unc making it more valuable than all the other denominations but the highest.
