This is the finest example we have ever seen of this extremely scarce experimental type. Gorgeous red back color with inverted bronzing on both the denomination and the R-2-18-63 surcharges (like Fr. 1321 back). Printed on bright fiber paper with deep embossing and a large bronze oval on the back. The identical type to Ford XIX lot 250; that example was graded Ch. CU due to the design being shifted to the right edge and it still brought $1,725 on that day some five years ago. In a much better grade and in this more sophisticated market we would expect a result that might very well prove our estimate conservative.
