Although PCGS does not have a Confederate Currency Population Report we are certain that this note is at or near the top. Heritage has never sold a Gem and neither have we. Fricke notes that it is common in all grades, including Ch. CU but with patience. This is the first legitimate Gem that we can recall having seen and we've seen plenty of notes over the years. Bright paper, bold signatures and excellent margins are seen for a type that often comes poorly margined. Presumably a later plate state as the right plate letter "B" is properly shaded but the left plate letter is a shadow of its former self.
