"Liberty and Peace, the Reward of Virtuous Resistance" is the motto seen on this low denomination note. These lower denomination notes are really quite scarce to rare in high grade and this lovely example has a single light center fold. Newman lists this at $500 in XF with no higher grade given, which testifies to the rarity of an AU note. We cannot recall having seen any UNCs floating the market place in recent years so this is about as nice as it gets.
