Your cataloger has examined lots of FRBNs over the years and still can't figure out the reason for the AU grade. This note gives every indication of facing up as a Gem or very nearly so. It has bright paper, superb embossing and originality at every turn. A little bit of handling does little to affect this note. When last sold in Long Beach 2011 this note brought $460, so there were obviously others who recognized it for the charming piece that it actually is.
