VG/Fine
This uniquely named town lies only a few miles from Memphis, Tennessee, between the Saint Francis River and the Little River. The early settlers chose the name because of a large oak tree marked by the Indians that was near their settlement on the bank of the Saint Francis River. It was at this point that a land bridge only 1/4 mile wide separated the two rivers, providing a short portage for their canoes. Although eight notes are reported on this large-only bank, specimens are tightly held, with just four auction appearances in the last 18 years. That is not a surprise, as this is one of the greatest names in Nationals. This note is a solid, evenly used example, with no problems save for a small clipped corner. Strong pen signatures as well.
