This town was not named for the leading state of the Soviet Union, but rather was a corruption of the original 1840s town name of Richardville. The French pronunciation sounded like Roo-sha-ville , so eventually the current spelling evolved. However, the important thing is that this is a gorgeous, lightly handled note from a rather scarce bank. An even dozen notes exist in small size. The most recent sale in 2008 saw a faded VG/F with missing corners bring $1,265. This note from the opposite end of the grade spectrum should do better.
