This is one of the greatest of all Texas names, and it has the rarity to match. This bank closed barely nine months after the Comptroller of the Currency began delivery of the 1929 Series notes and to date only two examples have been found. We auctioned the other example in 2006 where it sold for nearly $3,000. Now, four years later this superior example should bring as much. Just 250 sheets were issued.
