It is a thrill to offer a note from this very rare first name town, our first since 2003. Only two cities in the country named Russell had banks that issued Nationals. The other was a Brownback-only bank in Kansas that is still unreported. This institution is only a little more available than that with four large notes and three small notes reported. Kelly shows that 512 sheets of small size were printed, but notes that 131 of those sheets were not issued. This example still exhibits lots of body and would make a fine addition to a first name collection.
