Baker is the seat of Fallon County in far Eastern Montana. It was the only town in the county to host a National Bank, and it had two. Actually, the Baker National Bank was originally chartered in 1917 as the First NB of Plevna, a miniscule town of 241 souls just 13 miles west of Baker. However, there was no issue until the 1929 Series notes. By that time, the title had already changed to the First NB of Baker. Notes on this bank are incredibly difficult to locate, with the most recent auction record in 2000. The single fault is a tiny tear at one corner. One of seven known with none finer.
