A rather rare and seldom available note with a great title from the only issuing bank in small Warren County, at the head of the Shenandoah Valley. Front Royal got its name from the fact that it was on the border between French and English controlled areas of North America, in French "le front royale". The bank issued large notes only before liquidating at the beginning of 1930. Just 10 notes are known, far too few for the many collectors of good Virginia notes.
