This small Allen County Bank was visited by John Dillinger and his gang on August 14, 1933, and robbed of $6,000 in cash. Banks robbed by John Dillinger were the subject of a recent series of Banknote Reporter articles with this bank being the second hardest to find. While 15 notes are reported, 6 of those come from an uncut sheet. A must for anyone interested in collecting notes from banks robbed by John Dillinger!
