Circulating bearer bond. Uniface; blue bank seal of allegorical agricultural woman. The amount of 100 Pesos had significant contemporary value. According to one source, "...the Bank issued bonds to the bearer of 100 Pesos for land transactions...these were (also) used as legal tender. Many debts were paid with them." The bank was closed on January 28, 1875, so circulation of these items was extremely limited. The vast majority of pieces were then destroyed. Valued at $1250 in EF in the Standard Catalog.
