Lot #1726 - Evansville, German NB, 1772

Unique Title & State

National Bank Notes > Indiana

Evansville, German NB, 1772
Fr. 402 $5 1875
Grade: Fine
This bank was chartered in 1871 and in 1873 the bank packed its bags and moved to Evansville, Indiana on January 11, 1873, there it remained until December 24, 1890 when it was liquidated. There were only four banks that moved across state lines, if my memory serves me correctly. This would be a great set to try to put together. We sold a West Virginia bank that moved to Virginia in the Jim Thompson collection and they were both Red Seals. From the Frank Levitan Collection.
Current Bid: $ 14,000.00

Estimate: ($ 10,000.00 - $ 20,000.00)
