It's amazing when you see such a beautiful note for the first time. Although this note has been in the census for decades, this is the first auction appearance. The top note from this sheet appeared in Smythe's April 2007 sale where it realized $24,150, and again, a year later, in Heritage Auctions at $10,925. This note is listed as UNC in the census but clearly there is a center fold. A beautiful, well centered #1 Red Seal with a crazy vanity signature of the president.
