Printing plate for the front design of this issue cut/etched in retrograde. The blank side shows mounting evidence from previous attachment to a wood block or press. We've received two different opinions as to the authenticity of this fascinating item. One camp swears that this is absolutely authentic; contemporary to the Revolutionary War era. Another expert believes it to be much more modern. Although it looks authentic to us, we're not experts and make no claims. Decide for yourself and either way, buy it and enjoy, as there will be no returns on this lot. A worthwhile display item and possibly of use to make souvenir cards and reprints.
