This is one of the scarcest and least available towns in New Jersey. Although the census indicates five large notes reported, none have ever appeared at auction. As I understand the story, this town is in Somerset County but close to Flemington, where Jess Lipka had a coin store in his youth. One day this, and a better example walked into his shop and he bought them. They were rapidly sold to the leading New Jersey collector. I guess because he had a better example he traded this one away. This note, with great pen signatures, will now be the first ever publicly offered on the bank.
