This bank has two virtually identical $50 First Charters known from it and there are just three more known on the state. There are only sixty-three 1875 $50s known from the entire country. This note represents the nicest of those 63 that are normally encountered. Fourteen are listed in the census as better. Some are in institutions, while others may be no better than this one. The fact is, this is an amazingly rare type that few will ever have an opportunity to own. Its quality appearance and lovely pen signatures make it very desirable.
