Bright white paper and brilliant gold color is evident in abundance on this exceptional type note. The generous, even margins and original paper quality is fully accounted for by the PCGS grade of Gem New 66 PPQ. While there are hundreds of these 1922 $10 Golds known in CU condition, most of them fall short of the Gem grades due to a narrow margin or two. This note is a pleasant exception. Not only is it well centered, but also the paper is totally free of handling marks of any kind. PCGS has seen fit to award just three other pieces the 66 PPQ grade, while just two notes have been graded a point better. A marvelous piece of currency.
