Obstructed print with retained fragment A true R-9 error according to the Relative Rarity Index, introduced by Bart in 1994 and updated twice since then. This miracle of recovery includes not only the host note with the void on top of Lincoln's head, but amazingly, the imprinted foreign object which laid on top of the currency sheet during the printing process. How this scrap didn't fall to the BEP floor to be swept away remains a mystery. A bonanza for one collector seeking to acquire this amazingly rare error variety at an affordable price. Catalogue values in CU range from $7,500 to $12,500 in the Third Edition of Bart.
