Mixed denomination set. Eminently rarer than any double denomination; a set destined to redefine the status of the collection it enters next. The authenticity of this set is beyond question, as the serial numbering is consecutive although the series changes from 1988-A on the $10s to 1990 on the $20s, as these two were printed during the same month a the BEP. This is one of five sets known, all are listed by serial number on page 273 of Frederick J. Bart's book on errors. A couple of pages later this exact set is illustrated and valued at $10,000. In terms of rarity, that seems light, however, tonight's bidders will ultimately decide. This lot of four notes contains: $10 1988-A #G13774043C Gem New 66 PPQ $10 1988-A #G13774044C Gem New 65 PPQ $20 1990 #G13774045C Gem New 66 PPQ $20 1990 #G13774046C Superb Gem New 67 PPQ Plate note from U.S. Paper Money Errors (3rd Edition), Frederick J.
