Grade:
PCGS XF 40 Apparent
Printed fold. The sheet folded up and over prior to the back printing, then opened for the face and overprintings. It also remained open for the cutting operations, so "excess" paper was trimmed to create a rectangular shape. However, when the paper is folded as it was during the back printing a wide white frame appears from where the excess was trimmed. Highly unusual. Plate note from U.S. Paper Money Errors (3rd Edition), Frederick J. Bart, where it is incorrectly identified as series of 1981. PCGS notes: partial teller stamp on face.
